Panache Group

Washington-based Simpson Group has increased its charity output once again and pledged its support to Sunderland charity, Panache Group.

The commercial printing firm chose to work with the Panache Group after employee Carole Cavanagh began to suffer with Alopecia and became a member of the charity.

The charity aims to raise awareness and support women, men and children who suffer with hair loss.

So far, Simpson Group have supported the charity by providing printed materials including tickets and life-size cardboard cut-outs of showgirls for Panache Groups’ Bon Bar Charity Event, as well as donating an additional £500 to the charity with an on-going partnership for printed materials.

The event also featured in Simpson Group’s The Mall magazine, which goes out to clients and prospects, further raising awareness of the charity’s work.

Carole Cavanagh, production administrator at Simpson Group, is thrilled that Simpson Group are able to support a charity that may not be as well-known in the region.

Speaking about the charity work, Carole said:

“We are thrilled with the money raised through the recent event and the on-going support from Simpson Group. It all helps in our bid to work towards our vision of opening up a hub here in the North East that helps women, men and children around the area.”

Panache Group Charity

Simpson Group often nominate charities each year which have directly affected the lives of its staff including Great North Air Ambulance, The Motor Neurone Disease Association, Alzheimer’s Society and Together for Short Lives.

Dean Williams, managing director at Simpson Group, said:

“We’ve supported numerous charities over the years and when an employee puts forward a charity that’s personal to them, like Panache Group, then all the better as we can see first-hand the effects.

“We understand that we as a business can have an effect on a community and equally we want to contribute to the heartbeat of that community.”

Past contributions to chosen charities has included printed materials for Great North Air Ambulance and Alzheimer’s Society annual balls and leaflets and postcards used as a thank you to celebrity sponsors for Together For Short Lives.

In 2019, the firm plans to continue its charity work with its regular charities and to increase fundraising across others.
